A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE 2024 BEDFORD BULLDOG REGISTRATION
Before you begin please note the following:
- Your registration is not finalized until you have paid in full, and payment must be made during this session on the website. If you are unable to pay, please fill out 2024 Scholarship Application / Financial Assistance .
- Do not complete this step until you have registered on the state's website: www.nhyfsc.org
- You will need to go through the registration process for each athlete you are registering (ie, if you have two children, you will need to fill out this form twice, etc).
- In order to receive the family max rate of $550, all athletes in your family must register at the same time.
- Once you complete this step, proceed back to the Registration Page to download, complete and upload your athlete's required registration forms.

Parent Volunteer Commitment REMINDER
The Bulldogs are a volunteer-run organization. We ask each football parent to volunteer at least 6 hours per season to help the home and away games run smoothly. Some of the home assignments include chains on the field, announcing, oranges at the half, etc.

2024 FOOTBALL SEASON INFORMATION
Welcome to the 2024 SEASON!
The Bulldogs Board of Directors and Coaches are excited to get back on the field! Below are some important dates and information for the 2024 season.
Bedford Bulldogs athletes will play their AYF league age (age as of 7/31). The only exception is when players are needed to fill a team due to low numbers.
Flag Football
Flag Football is a great way for the younger kids to develop skills and learn about the game of football in a controlled fun environment, without the pads and without the direct contact of tackle football. Special care is taken to ensure players learn the fundamentals of football while keeping the focus on having fun. There are no scoreboards at flag games, and coaches take care to ensure everyone gets involved in the game.
Some basic info on our flag program:
- Games are held on Sunday mornings, often before our tackle teams, typically at 8am, and the schedule includes both home games and away games in Southern NH.
- The flag teams practice three times per week from early August until school starts, then twice per week for the rest of the season.
- Flag games are played 8 vs 8.
- Players should wear cleats, an athletic supporter (cup), a mouthguard, and should have their own water for all games and practices.
- We utilize a "K2" size football, which is available at most sports stores if you want to get your little one used to the ball.
FLAG EQUIPMENT MUST HAVES:

- Each flag player will receive a uniform to be worn on game day
Game pants can be purchased at DICKS SPORTING GOODS, AMAZON or other sporting goods stores. Game pants must be all black. Some examples include:

This is part of the AYF National format, which NH is following.
Bedford Football - A Legacy of Excellence Since 2000
The Bedford Bulldogs were formed in early 2017 as a result of the merger between the Bedford Jaguars and the Bedford Jr Bulldogs. But while the organization is new, the Jaguars and Jr Bulldogs represented Bedford in youth football play dating back to 2000.
17 years after the very first Bedford team took the field, the Bedford Bulldogs are one of the largest and most respected American Youth Football organizations in New Hampshire.
The Bulldogs offer several levels of play for all ages of football player. From ages 5U-8U we offer one of the state's largest flag football programs, allowing young kids the ability to learn the nuances of the game without contact.
At age 8, we offer a tremendous Instructional program. Playing against other towns that offer similar teams, the Instructional team allows kids to get used to positions, equipment, and safe blocking and tackling techniques. Coaches are on the field to help assist players and ensure safety, and we outfit players in the highest-rated equipment available.
From there, players move on to our tackle teams. Playing against players their own age allows athletes to continue to learn the sport and develop their skills as they get older.
WHY CHOOSE THE BEDFORD BULLDOGS FOR YOUR PLAYER?
- We play in the American Youth Football league, which is age-based football with no weight limitations. Your child will play against kids his own age. The NH Youth Football & Spirit Conference (the NH arm of the AYF) currently has more than 4000 participants for football and cheer.
- Updated equipment and uniforms, including helmets that rated the highest in the Virginia Tech helmet rankings.
- Our coaches teach the safest tackling and blocking methods, keeping your child as safe as possible.
- Unified coaching philosophy between teams, focusing on teaching the fundamentals (blocking, tackling, gap assignments, hole identification) to increase football IQ and to prepare our older athletes for high school football.
- A "football is family" atmosphere - many teams host walk-through get togethers for all the families to strengthen the bonds between players and parents/siblings.
- Minimum Play Requirements (MPRs) ensure everyone sees the field every game.
- Home games at Bedford High School.
