Parent Volunteer Commitment REMINDER

The Bulldogs are a volunteer-run organization.  We ask each football parent to volunteer at least 6 hours per season to help the home and away games run smoothly.  Some of the home assignments include chains on the field, announcing, oranges at the half, etc.

Bedford Football - A Legacy of Excellence Since 2000

The Bedford Bulldogs were formed in early 2017 as a result of the merger between the Bedford Jaguars and the Bedford Jr Bulldogs. But while the organization is new, the Jaguars and Jr Bulldogs represented Bedford in youth football play dating back to 2000. 

17 years after the very first Bedford team took the field, the Bedford Bulldogs are one of the largest and most respected American Youth Football organizations in New Hampshire. 

The Bulldogs offer several levels of play for all ages of football player. From ages 5U-8U we offer one of the state's largest flag football programs, allowing young kids the ability to learn the nuances of the game without contact. 

At age 8, we offer a tremendous Instructional program. Playing against other towns that offer similar teams, the Instructional team allows kids to get used to positions, equipment, and safe blocking and tackling techniques. Coaches are on the field to help assist players and ensure safety, and we outfit players in the highest-rated equipment available. 

From there, players move on to our tackle teams. Playing against players their own age allows athletes to continue to learn the sport and develop their skills as they get older. 

2025 FOOTBALL SEASON INFORMATION

Welcome to the 2025 SEASON!   

The Bulldogs Board of Directors and Coaches are excited to get back on the field!  Below are some important dates and information for the 2025 season.

Bedford Bulldogs athletes will play their AYF league age (age as of 7/31). The only exception is when players are needed to fill a team due to low numbers.

The Registration "2025 SEASON" is not currently available.

Flag Football

Flag Football is a great way for the younger kids to develop skills and learn about the game of football in a controlled fun environment, without the pads and without the direct contact of tackle football.  Special care is taken to ensure players learn the fundamentals of football while keeping the focus on having fun. There are no scoreboards at flag games, and coaches take care to ensure everyone gets involved in the game. 

Some basic info on our flag program:

  • Games are held on Sunday mornings, often before our tackle teams, typically at 8am, and the schedule includes both home games and away games in Southern NH.
  • The flag teams practice three times per week from early August until school starts, then twice per week for the rest of the season.
  • Flag games are played 8 vs 8.
  • Players should wear cleats, an athletic supporter (cup), a mouthguard, and should have their own water for all games and practices. 
  • We utilize a "K2" size football, which is available at most sports stores if you want to get your little one used to the ball. 

FLAG EQUIPMENT MUST HAVES:

FLAG Equipment needed

  • Football Cleats
  • Mouth guard
  • Water bottles
  • Athletic supporter
  • Each flag player will receive a uniform to be worn on game day

Game pants can be purchased at DICKS SPORTING GOODS, AMAZON or other sporting goods stores. Game pants must be all black. Some examples include:
